Global Field Services
David Koran & Associates is available for domestic and international implementation assignments, including multi-site deployments, extended onsite assignments, customer discovery, system rollout, training, and go-live support. One senior consultant, at the customer's facility, wherever the work is.
The assignments the practice accepts.
Customer Discovery
Onsite discovery at a customer or prospect facility: environment, data, infrastructure, requirements, and constraints, reported in writing so the vendor's engineering and delivery teams start from facts rather than sales notes.
System Rollout
Delivering the deployment at the customer site: installation, configuration, integration, and the coordination between the customer's team and the vendor's remote engineers across time zones.
Multi-Site Deployment
Sequential rollouts across plants, offices, terminals, or branches, using the first site as the template and carrying configuration standards, training materials, and lessons from site to site.
Extended Onsite Assignments
Weeks or months embedded at a customer facility when the deployment, the customer relationship, or the complexity of the environment calls for sustained presence rather than periodic visits.
Training Delivery
In-person training for operators, administrators, and management at the customer's own facility, on the customer's own configuration, in the context of the customer's own work.
Go-Live Support
Onsite presence through cutover and the first days of live operation: triage, fixes, escalation, and the confidence that comes from having an experienced person in the building when it counts.
US customers, without a US field-services organization.
Technology companies outside the United States often win US customers before they have US delivery capacity. Flying engineers across an ocean for every discovery visit, training session, and go-live is expensive, slow, and hard on the engineers. The practice provides your US customers with experienced onsite implementation support without requiring you to build a full US field-services organization.
A professional presence at the customer facility
A senior consultant who represents your company well in front of the customer's management, works to your standards, and reports back in clear written English your team can act on.
A bridge to your engineering team
Comfortable working with remote engineering teams across time zones: reproducing issues onsite, gathering the data your developers need, and translating between the customer's operational language and your team's technical language.
Capacity without headcount
Field delivery on assignment rather than payroll: no US entity buildout, no bench, no idle time between deployments. You buy delivery capacity when your sales create the demand for it.
Built for the road.
01 Travel-ready
Passport current, experienced international business traveler, and self-sufficient onsite: transportation, lodging, and logistics handled without hand-holding from your operations staff.
02 Self-directed onsite
Comfortable arriving at a facility, building working relationships with the plant manager, the quality team, and IT, and moving the deployment forward without a project manager standing behind the work.
03 Written reporting
Every assignment produces a written record: discovery findings, daily or weekly status, decisions, open items, and handoff documentation. The vendor always knows what happened at its customer's site.
04 Confidentiality and conduct
Work performed under your NDA and partner terms, in your name where the program calls for it, with the professional conduct expected of someone representing your company inside a customer's facility.
Discuss a Project
Inquiries may involve a US customer deployment for an international vendor, a multi-site rollout, an extended onsite assignment, or field coverage for an implementation partner. I respond personally to every inquiry, usually within one business day.
